Instead of spending Valentine's day all loved up as you are supposed to, we went to the A Foundation for the Wrong Love exhibition. I didn't know what to expect as the only clue I was given as to what was going on was the vague description on the flyer, "Wrong Love is an uncommon alternative to your drab night of misty-eyed smooching. Cheat on the traditional Valentine's celebration while its back is turned. Dump true love for unbridled". Even my friend who was showing his work wouldn't tell me what it was about.
It was a pleasant surprise though, we walked in to find a full bar, post-it-notes with obscenities splattered all over the walls, a cardboard tee pee, a confession booth, a hall of stockings, live paintings, a room with porn being projected onto the walls and my favourite, a women with a dress which read yes on the front and no on the back who spun around for about half an hour until she vomited.
It was very interesting indeed. The exhibitions curator was interviewed on Dazed Digital
just a little drunk.
